The chair is great has plenty to make it right for you. We have different heights and different ways they sit. Already helping hips and backs. Only complaint is very hard to bolt the mechanics to the seat.
I had a PT suggest I use a saddle chair when sitting for long periods years ago but I only recently decided to invest in this. When I went back to school a few years ago and realized I was avoiding being at my desk because I found chairs so uncomfortable I invested in a "cheap" one off of Amazon. It wasn't the most comfortable but even that brought a considerable amount of relief to my lower back and hip flexors. I finally decided to invest in a really good one for when I'm sitting at my desk at work (I spend roughly 60% of my day sitting at work) and wow it has been such a game changer. This chair doesn't hurt my tail bone / sits bones at all, the cushioning doesn't feel cheap. My only complaint is that my inner thigh area gets kind of sweaty, but it's manageable. I love this chair.
I'm nowhere near 500 pounds, but I purchased this stool with the hopes that the cushioning would be robust for a much lighter person - and that was indeed the case. The stool feels extremely solid but is also wonderfully comfortable on my rear end. Further, the ability to tilt the stool forward also allowed me to find the perfect sitting angle. I use this stool while sitting at my desk, which I do probably about 3 to 4 hours a day, and it has helped my posture and alleviated any back paid from a traditional chair. I rarely write reviews, but this stool was worth every penny!
I bought the Saddle Shape Stool with Back Support and 500lbs Weight Capacity with customized cylinder for >6' and it is very comfortable and supportive. Although when I ordered the item was out of stock and I had to wait a month for the shipment, customer service was very responsive and communicated the issued clearly, so I decided to wait. I am glad I did.
I’m a dental hygienist looking to better my ergonomics. This chair is made well and allowed me to get much closer to my patient, however it was not comfortable for me. It ended up causing pain on my inner thigh that radiated downward. I wanted it to work, but it unfortunately did not work for me, personally.
It's comfortable and easy to put together. I do not like that you have to buy a removal tool to take apart!
Chair adjusts well in different areas and the ergonomics and aesthetic design are good, but some of the parts are cheap plastic and arrived cracked.
I really like my saddle chair, it’s been helping with sciatica and makes me use muscles that I haven’t had to use before. They were really responsive and helpful with my questions too! Definitely a good investment, thanks Salli chair
Very uncomfortable for office work. The fact that they dont allow returns is very disappointing. You should be able to try an expensive chair with the option to return. Would not recommend unless you are certain you like saddle chairs for long term use.
My old stool was killing my back.
My new Sit Healthier stool ROCKS!! I sit taller with little to no pain.
Love the stool, thought it would be tough to get used to....but it was not a problem at all, works out very well. So glad I purchased this!
Takes some time to get used to but one week in I can already tell the stool is making a difference. Very glad I spent the money on a high quality stool. The Saddle with adjustment is critical for me. The height allows me to easily go from sit to stand at my desk.
I spend 5-6 hours a day at my workbench and always ended the day with an aching lower back. While it took a couple of days to get used to the saddle style stool, I no longer end my day wishing I’d stopped working an hour ago!
Absolutely love it. Great value! Worth the little extra to upgrade to inline skate wheels and to wait for leather in my clinical use (dental hygienist) experience. With care, this chair looks like it will last a long time! Easy assembly. This is my second chair from sit healthier! First lasted a few years wonderfully- until someone over the weight limit sat on it. So be mindful of that. Otherwise no concerns! Love the ability to customize the seat!
It takes some time to get used to, but this is a great investment! Give yourself some time to figure them out and you won’t regret it. Very sturdy quality.
I sew most of the day, and I’m hyper mobile: this chair instantly changed my posture. Because of my better posture, I have significantly less (nearly no) neck, shoulder, and back pain. I was hesitant to spend this much on a chair, and I’m sorry I didn’t do it sooner. Totally worth it!
It looks and works like what it says. The quality is not awesome. We have many other chairs to compare with.
This is by far one of the best things I've done for my mental and physical well being.
I have used many Salli and Baumbach saddle chairs over the years as a dentist. I wanted to try the smaller saddle width due to recent hip pain that seemed to be worse with my other Salli stool. This chair is very hard and not much narrower than the traditional Salli. The fabric on it is not smooth and when I sit, I find I have to adjust my position or my scrub pants get caught up. I am actually preferring to sit in a saddle chair I bought from Amazon for 1/10th the price over this chair that I waited 3 months for.
